In September 2021, I was selected to lead the Law Enforcement Charitable Foundation. Established in 2016, the mission of the LECF is to Protect the bond that exists between the community and local law enforcement through education, programs, and briefings, while offering charitable support for families of fallen officers killed in the line of duty, and grants to law enforcement agencies for protective equipment, educational training, and memorials.

With the support of the board of directors, the LECF worked tirelessly over the past nine months to build an infrastructure that can support our anticipated growth. Now, more than ever our local law enforcement NEEDS your support. Alarming retirement rates calls to defund the police, and talks of disbanding Qualified Immunity are just three of an exhaustive list of contributing factors causing police departments across the nation to post some of the lowest recruitment numbers ever. I encourage you to take a moment and read what the LECF is implementing and will continue to work on to protect our local heroes. This is a call to action offering numerous ways beyond our
much needed financial support to support your local police officers and departments.

Upon creation of the LECF, the immediate focus was on producing a semiannual educational report for about 16,000 local law enforcement officers, county sheriffs, and state law enforcement officers. Our Intelligence Brief provides accurate information and intelligence that many law enforcement officers are not currently receiving from other sources. We hope to create better understanding about the people and the organizations behind the war on police. Additionally, with increased funding, LECF will grant aid to those departments who are in dire need of updated protective equipment and will continue to reach out to families of fallen officers, who gave their lives to protect and serve the people of their communities.
